Christmas Mice Nails!

on
Thursday, December 13, 2012
Hello my lovely readers! Finals are ALLLLLLL done! I am so happy to have just one more semester left in college.

I have been wanting to try another Robin Moses design so I sat down and watched quite a bit of her Christmas/Holiday themed videos.

I decided to go with these adorable little mice popping out of stockings. Here is the original post by Robin Moses (I do not take credit for this design).

The only thing I decided not to do was outline in black.

Gold Nails

on
Monday, December 10, 2012

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!

As the semester is pretty much over, I find myself at the end of my money flow until the new year starts. I decided to throw on some black polish because I haven't worn just black in a very long time. However, after a bit of contemplation I decided to use my $OPI Gold Topper to feel a little more put together (and like I have money...heh). So, without further ado, my mani of the day!

Enjoy!

Blue for Diabetes Awareness Day

on
Wednesday, November 14, 2012
Hello all! Today I am wearing blue in regards to Diabetes Awareness. Many people think that diabetes only affects people who are overweight and have poor health, but in reality it can affect anyone. Please take the time to make sure you know your family's medical history so that things like diabetes can't negatively impact your life.

I have one of four Anise glitter polishes to show you today. I will post the other ones in the following days.

After hours is a blue and silver glitter that has excellent coverage! I did not need undies for this color, it dried super fast and was opaque in two coats.

No topcoat.

Anise Nail Fashion's Facebook page is here. They have a Pinterest here. You can find their polish at Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) for $6.00! They are 6 free (including cruelty free!!!) :D

Enjoy!

Tuesday, November 13, 2012
Hello everyone! Today I have something very different (and a bit more 'personal') to share with you! Some of the Beauty Bloggers I know, including XO Noelle, Beyond Beauty Lounge, and Jilltastic Nail Design have encouraged us all to do a "What's in your Bag/Purse?" video. If you click on those blogs, it will link you to their videos!
I crawled out of my shy shell and produced a (low quality) video of what I keep in my purse! Beware, my face is in it! o_O

Here is a written list, in case you couldn't (or didn't) watch it!

Lanyard with keys and TWO flashlights! :D

Bam Nail Lacquer

on
Monday, November 5, 2012
I know it has been some time since I've posted, but I haven't been feeling well.

Today I have a lovely post about some polishes made by a woman who actually lives in the same town as me! I was floored to find out that she has a shop in such a tiny town full of college students. :D

I contacted her and we met at a coffee shop last Saturday.

The owner, Alicia, is the maker of BAM Nail Lacquer and I have found one of my new favorite polishes from her store.

She has a holo polish that I have been using as a "topper" of sorts on ALL my polishes. Heehee.

On to the pictures.

Spellbound is from her Halloween collection and Twilight Rendezvous is from her summer collection, but I would wear these whenever. I especially LOVE Spellbound because it is black with a little extra something.

Spellbound is a black jelly with purple and gold flakes. YUM! Here is a macro to get a clear idea.
Two coats because the formula is a bit sheer and a tad thick. Not too bad to work with.

Next is Twilight Rendezvous. It is a very sheer purple with some scattered holo glitter in it! I have three coats on with no topcoat.

I wanted to see what TR looked like over another color so I used Zoya Wednesday as the base. Gorgeous! Do you see the purple shimmer it gives Wednesday?

Last, but certainly not least is my favorite: Mystic Cloud!
Here is a bottle shot for drool purposes.

YUM!
From Left to right: 1 thin coat over TR+W combo, 2 coats over TR, 1 thin coat over TR and 1 thin coat over S.

Formula is perfect and I absolutely love changing all my polishes to holo. It looks especially good over Zoya Song.

 Indoor, Flash

Why yes, it loves being shot up close.

BAM Nail Lacquer can be found on Etsy only. Check out her store here. Full size bottles retail for $9.50 and $8.50 depending on type. Minis are $3.29.

Enjoy!

Cute Halloween Nails!

on
Friday, October 26, 2012
Hello lovelies! Look, I had time for nail art! Whoo hoo. :D

I think these are just darling Halloween themed nails. I asked if I should do ghosts or monsters on my nails, and one response was to do both, so here they are!

To get the brown, I mixed yellow, orange and a little bit of green polish.

With an owl pepper shaker because Owls are associated with Halloween, right?! It's cute.

Polishes Used:
Nail-Aid Collagen Nail Builder
Glitter Gal Black
Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Sinful Colors Leap Flog
Sinful Colors Firefly
Kiss Black Nail Art Striper
The New Black Orange
Hong Kong Girl

Tools:
Striper Brush
Small Brush
Dotting Tool

Go Pink Wednesday

on
Wednesday, October 24, 2012
Hello! I know it's been a bit long since I've posted, but senior year of college is kicking my butt time-wise. I hope you all understand!

I'm wearing an unnamed pink Color Club from a Ross set and Sea Lore's Attina!

I think this color combo is sweet and simple! It would be great for work AND a girl's night out.

Enjoy!

Zoya Wednesday & Anise Social Star

on
Monday, October 15, 2012
Hi! I'm loving today's manicure! It is simple yet elegant and I love the combo! I'm usually not a fan of gold, but Anise Social Star is awesome with its scattered holo!

The formula on Social star was great. The glitter lays flat and the shimmer is pretty. It can be top coat hungry if you are using a lot.

To get this look, I used hole reinforcers for the curve.

Enjoy!

*Anise products were sent to me for my honest opinion.*

Go Pink Wednesday

on
Wednesday, October 3, 2012
Hi! As you all know, October has been deemed Breast Cancer Awareness month for quite a while now. Today I am "going pink" to show my support.

I have on one thick coat of Drama Doll (Sation by Miss Professional) and one thin coat of OPI's Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It.

I absolutely love Drama Doll! It is such a great color. The formula was thick, but it evened out great. I want to buy ALL the Sation polishes…
Plus, they are only $5 on their website.

Polishes used:
Nail-Aid Ultra Fast Growth
Sation Drama Doll
OPI Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It
Hong Kong Girl

Enjoy!
Demi

I bought both polishes with my own money.
