Sinful Colors Leap Flog

Monday, July 30, 2012
Hi! I love this green! It looks great on me (or so many of you say)! lol

The color isn't as blue IRL. It's also a tad bit darker.

The formula on this was very nice! I barely had to do clean up!
I took advantage of the sale that Walgreens had and snatched this up for just 99 cents. They are usually $2.99

Annnndddd….the owl ring that everyone loves! <3 (Including me! The boyfriend did very well when he picked this out)!

Saturday Spam - Leopard Nail Art

Saturday, July 28, 2012

Hello!!! Happy Saturday! I have some nail art spam. Haha.

*EDIT* OMG THIS IS MY 100th POST! Yayay! :D

So, on my right hand I have on one coat of Zoya Juno and then that is topped with one coat of Grape Jelly (from, the last post). The Bow is China Glaze Pink Voltage and Wet n Wild Through the Grapvine.

The leopard spots on both hands were done with the brush of the polish and a bobby pin! Yep, a bobby pin. I used WnW's TTG for the purple, and black acrylic paint.

The only thing that is different on my right hand is that the base is three coats of Princess Polish's Grape Jelly and no bow.

Princess Polish Grape Jelly

Friday, July 27, 2012
Hi lovelies! Today I have Princess Polish's Grape Jelly to show you! The polish is a jelly finish with holo yumminess.

If you get this polish and can't see the holo, don't worry. It isn't as apparent indoors as it is outdoors. As a disclaimer, the pics with the BLACK BACKGROUND have been taken with a flash camera. The holo is not as obvious indoors as it is with the flash.

Now, for the pics! Pic HEAVY!

These two pictures are three coats of the polish.

Below is one coat of Zoya Juno and one coat of Grape Jelly over ZJ.

Below is one coat of an unnamed Color Club Purple and one coat of Grape Jelly over the CC.

This was a gift for my birthday!

Turquoise Nails with More Hearts!

Tuesday, July 24, 2012
Hi all!
I didn't take off the gold and pink with hearts mani until last night. Yep. I was being extremely lazy, but it held up well!

I had no idea what to put on my nails. So I randomly chose For Audrey and then saw Cyance Friction looking lonely. I was just going to top coat them and leave it, but I couldn't!

I freehanded hearts with Alpine Snow and then dotted with a Sally Hansen pen.

Random nail art.

Pink and Gold Glitter + Hearts and Leopard!

Friday, July 20, 2012
Here is a simple pic of what I wore all weekend! I was going to do stripes, but I went with just leopard and hearts!

I started with base coats of Julep Carrie and OPI Alpine Snow. Then I added leopard spots with an unnamed dark pink Color Club and Alpine Snow. For the two accents I used Essie's LE Practice Safe Sun Shimmer from Cosmopolitan's sweepstakes. Julep Carrie finishes it off as the hearts!
All done with a dotting tool.

This is my RIGHT HAND! OMG! Haha.

The Hungry Asian - Belle

Thursday, July 19, 2012
Hi! Today I have another gorgeous milky-white polish with glitter to show you! Belle by The Hungry Asian has cute pink glitter with brown hexes, too!

Not only did the color draw me in, but so did the name. Belle is a pretty French word and it's also the name of my FAVORITE Disney character. <3

It's a bit sheer, so I have three coats on. If you don't want to use three coats (or if you don't want the jelly sandwich look) I recommend layering over white.

Look at the jelly sandwich it creates! Yum!

The Hungry Asian's polish sells $9.25 for a full bottle and $4.50 for a mini. She has some pretty awesome mixes...and I keep debating on getting her black jelly called Tamala.

Here is her etsy shop page.
Here is her Facebook.

*I bought this product with my own money. All opinions are honest and my own.*

Nail-Venturous - Robin Laid an Egg

Tuesday, July 17, 2012
Hello! Today I have another gorgeous Nail-Venturous and a huge lemming of mine: Robin Laid an Egg!

Amy hit it out of the ballpark with this combo! The base is perfect and the glitter is gorgeous. The polish practically applied itself, by the way.

Two coats, just because. I could have probably gotten away with one.

I purchased this with my own money.

Naked Nails - Update (12 day)

Monday, July 16, 2012
Hi all! It's been 12 days since I tore all of my nails off. Here is a quick photo comparison to show the growth in those days.

I have to admit, I haven't been wearing the Nail Aid for three days straight, like it says to. I just get so bored with my nails after 1-2 days.

Here they were the day after the 4th:

Annnd now! The gouge on my middle finger is still too close to the skin to file.

I have been super busy with work lately. New nails tomorrow!

Nail-Venturous - Pinkerbell

Friday, July 13, 2012
Hello! I was lucky enough to FINALLY get some Nail-Venturous Lacquers! I am so happy. =D
I bought Pinkerbell, Robin Laid an Egg and, wait for it...FLYING BLUE JAY!

I know.

Today I have Pinkerbell on! I used Zoya Pippa as underwear, as well as Borghese Maraschino Cherry for an accent.

Flash to show toned down colors.

I really like it! I enjoy it more than Floam. It is super thick, but that's normal for these types of polishes.
Sadly, Nail Venturous polishes aren't sold any more by Amy.

Octopus Nails

Tuesday, July 10, 2012
Hello! Good day to you all! ;]

Today I have some awesome freehand nail art to share with you! (Well, at least I think it turned out awesome for someone who is artistically challenged).

I wanted to do something ocean themed ever since Chalkboard Nails did an underwater theme here. Her manicure is flawless. Please don't compare mine to hers. Haha.

As I was looking at her pictures, I remembered watching the documentary "Planet Earth" and the part about an octopus that laid 600,000 eggs then died.

By no means am I saying this artwork is perfect. It was my first attempt at something like this!

Here is the list of what I used to create the look:
2 coats of Essie Barefoot in Blue (LE)
Sponged gradient of Essie and China Glaze Shower Together
Teal, Black and White Acrylic paint.
Paint brush
Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe glitter (sponged on)
Hong Kong Girl topcoat

China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada and Cult Nails Hypnotize Me

Monday, July 9, 2012
The sun has been out for the last few days, so I was able to take my pictures outside!

I went with China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada (3 coats over 1 coat of white). I used Cult Nails Hypnotize Me over it. I was severely unimpressed with both polishes.

KC-A was extremely streak-prone. On the third coat, I had to use a pretty thick layer. As for Hypnotize Me, the formula was extremely thick. To be honest, I almost gave up on this mani. However, I like the final look and am grateful to have HM thanks to some awesome friends (Tina and Kelly)!

I love the color and shimmer, though. It is actually quite pretty.

*I purchased the China Glaze. Cult Nails was a gift from a friend. I strive to provide my honest opinion.*

Sad and Naked Nails - Story

Friday, July 6, 2012
Hi lovelies!

Today I have some unpleasant pics and a little story. While this isn't the end of the world, I am so disappointed in myself for what I did!

*EDIT* Let me be quite clear: I am fine, this was just a little spurt of emotion. As everyone says, nails grow back. And thank goodness for that!

I don't usually have any breakdowns or emotional problems, but on the 4th, I had bit of an anxiety attack.

The result? I ripped off every. single. one. of my nails. Yeah. You read that right. I ripped them so far that a couple of them bled.

Then, in the shower the next day, my razor took a chunk off of my middle nail on my left hand.

Anyway, enough of the sad panda time! I have decided to use Nail Aid's 5 in 1 Grow Tougher Treatment, as well as their Pink Natural Growth Therapy from now until my nails are at a decent length again. I want YOU to see the progress I make. Hopefully these products (both of which I purchased with my own money, for me) turn out to work well!

Here are some pics and then a little more talk.

Here are the Nail Aids I will be using! Here is to hoping they help! I haven't decided if I'm going to start taking Biotin yet. We'll see!

I know my nails aren't as pretty when they are this short, but I hope you all stick with me. I will continue to polish my nails and post my designs/swatches on here!

4th of July Nails!

Wednesday, July 4, 2012
Happy Independence Day, America!

I have a pretty freakin' awesome mani to show you all! I am so impressed with the longevity this has proven! I put this on Sunday afternoon, and the tape has not curled/peeled/lifted. Nor has it chipped. Woohoo!

I used Zoyas Sooki, Purity and Trixie. For the blue, I used a polish from The New Black waves set. The striping tape was purchased on eBay.

I love the shine that Trixie and the tape add to the mani!

Enjoy! Have a safe day!
