Zoya Kelly + Zoya Caitlin + Zoya Dove = Dotticure

Friday, August 31, 2012
Great colors for a dotticure!

I wasn't going to do my pinky and pointer nails like this originally, but I messed up. The beauty of the dots being scattered is that you can cover up mistakes!

Zoya Demi and Zoya Maisie

Wednesday, August 29, 2012
Hi! Today I have a cute combo inspired by Ashley from Ashley is Polish Addicted!
Two coats of Zoya Demi and 2 coats of Zoya Maisie!

As you all know (if you have been reading my blog), I struggle to capture flakies. Every. Single. Time. Therefore, you get pictures with random quality and in random places. :D

365 Days of Color - Darya

Sunday, August 26, 2012
Hi! I just wanted to show you what I wore over the weekend! I used two coats of Zoya Kelly (love this grey, and I can't to wear more fall colors) and then one coat of Darya by 365 Days of Color. The formula on D was average. Maybe a bit thick, But I like the squares and how all the glitter is one color. :D

I really like how it turned out!

My fingers look shiny because I am wearing the Gummy Bear miracle balm from Sunny as well!

Minis are $4.50 and Full are $8.00 on Sunny's website. I don't know if she is selling Darya still.

*I did not purchase this product. All opinions are my own and honest.*

365 Days of Color - Too Pink to Function

Saturday, August 25, 2012
Hi! Happy Saturday. :D

I bought some mini polishes from 365 Days of Color a few days ago and they arrived just in time for me to play with them this weekend!

I have on Too Pink to Function from her newest collection. It's a light bubblegum pink with colorful glitters of many sizes. Pinks like this are hard to work with, but TPTF evened out well. I have on two coats with topcoat for the following pictures.

My thumb and pinky have the most glitter!

Have you worn any polishes by 365 Days? I also bought Soak up the Sun and a trio of balm samplers! I LOVE the balms! Mmmm!

Check out her blog, Facebook page and shop! Minis are $4.50 and Full are $8. :D

Girly Bits Smurf Dance (LE)

Wednesday, August 22, 2012
Hello! Today I have my first Girly Bits polish to show you. This is a great glitter topper (and for me that is saying a lot because I tend to not like glitters)!

Smurf Dance is a limited edition color that was created for Silver over at the Silverinator. She said she would do the Smurf dance if someone would pick up some of the collection for her. She ended up doing a quick little dance on video, here. So, Pam created this polish!

I just had to have it because the Smurfs played a big part in my life during the 5th grade! My favorite teacher from elementary, Mr. Reich, would turn it on at lunch EVERY single day. You might say that I am very Smurf-smart. Isn't that Smurf-tastic?! <3

This is two coats over Zoya Robyn. Bar glitter that actually looks cute?! Holo micro glitter? Square and hex in white, black and blue? Yep.

It is Smurf-brilliant.

Everything lays flat and I only needed one coat of Hong King Girl to make it smooth.

And of course Mr. Owl makes an appearance!

Smurf Dance will be available for a very limited time. Follow Girly Bits on Facebook for more updates! Girly Bits is sold for $10 to $13 and can be found at Big Cartel, Llarowe and Harlow & Co

*I bought this product myself. All opinions are my own and honest.*

A England Tristam

Thursday, August 16, 2012
Hello! I took advantage of the sale that Adina had for A England's a few weeks ago. Today I have actual swatches of Tristam!

I love this blue, somewhat blurple (occasionally) polish!

I have nothing negative to say. It's a one coater, but I have two coats on just because. The holo comes out under direct light and comes alive outside in the sun. I have six pictures. 3 for each of my hands.

Hong Kong Girl Topcoat and Pretty Nails!

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Today I have a quick post sharing four of my favorite polishes! One is a dry fast top coat, one is a fancy topper, one is from Europe and one is a Zoya!

First of all, my new and absolute favorite topcoat is Hong Kong Girl's Fast Drying and Super Shiny Clear Topcoat!

This topcoat dries extremely fast and super shiny (of course it does, that's what the label says)! It is thick, but not as thick as Seche Vite. I love that it helps keep your nails super strong after it has dried (such a plus, in my opinion)! Also, it does tend to get a bit thicker after it is about 3/4 of the way gone. I get my HK Girl from Jill at Glisten & Glow. They retail for $6.95 (without shipping). SO worth it.
If you are wondering if it is 4-free, it is not.
Jill DOES NOT make this topcoat. She buys in bulk and decants it into bottles and uses her signature label!
The link for the nail polish shop page at Glisten & Glow can be found here

So, today I am showing you a Zoya, because Zoya tends to shrink with fast drying topcoats like Seche Vite. As you will be able to see, my Zoya Demi did NOT shrink with the use of HKG!

Now can you just stop for a moment and give a nod to this combination? Two coats of Zoya Demi, followed by one coat of Max Factor Fantasy Fire and then a coat of Sephora by OPI It's Real 18 karat Gold Topper. To finish it off? A good helping of HKG.

Say it with me: yummy.

Glisten & Glow Review

Sunday, August 12, 2012
Hello! After using some Gilsten & Glow products for a few days, I am ready to share my thoughts about them! (Be warned, it's pretty wordy).

First, we have the body spray. I received an 8oz bottle in the scent Viva la Juicy (not the actual brand, but the scent similar to Juicy Couture).

By the way, you have an (almost) endless amount of scents to choose from AND you'll get custom labels if you ask (for all the hand made products). You can even mix and match!

I LOVE THIS SCENT. The fact that I can get 8oz for $10.50 is just awesome.

A couple of things about the spray to note. It stays on your body and clothes for a while - which is perfect.

The only slight problem might be the fact that it is a bit oily on contact. However, I haven't noticed ANY oil stains on my clothes and my skin isn't oily after about 30 seconds.

I will definitely purchase more body sprays in the future.

Next up is the cuticle oil! Yay for awesome cuticle oil!

You can get a 2oz bottle of cuticle oil for $6 or a 4oz for $9.

The Glis-tics roller for the cuticle retails $10.50 for a .37oz container. No more mess? Yes, please!

I chose to mix raspberry and vanilla for my cuticle oil. The oil is great! A little oily for a minute or so, but my cuticles soak it up like they are starved for moisture. I absolutely love the results I have seen after almost a week.

I do have to say one thing about this scent, I'm not the biggest fan. This is totally my fault - the smell just doesn't go well with my body! My boyfriend said he likes it, but I'm still trying to get used to it. Next time, I am going to try the best selling scent in Sangria White Peach!

Here are the links to the shop pages!

Barielle Friday Nite Parti

Tuesday, August 7, 2012
Hello! I recently was sent some goodies from Glisten & Glow. You can buy customized body products and nail polish from them! I used a Copious credit and then Jill (the owner) sent me a bit extra to review. You'll see a post on Hong Kong Girl topcoat, the body fragrance and cuticle oil soon.

One of the extra things sent included nail polish! :D I have Barielle Friday Nite Parti to share with you.

OMG. This color is perfect for me. I love vampy colors and this berry one hits my addiction right on the spot. How did you know, Jill?

You can find the list of polish Jill sells as well as prices here. Barielle costs $6 dollars in the Glisten & Glow shop.

Tribal Nails MSMD

Sunday, August 5, 2012
Hello! Today I have sort of a "Monkey See, Monkey Do" mani to share with you! Rebecca Likes Nails did an awesome tribal mani when she did the 31 Day Challenge. I decided to recreate her pattern!

I used Essie Tart Deco for the base (3 coats). Then, I took black, turquoise, silver and white Kiss stripers and used them to make the lines and sections.

I used a toothpick for the dots.

China Glaze Strawberry Fields

Saturday, August 4, 2012
Hello there! I was supposed to show you all my super awesome find from a few days ago, but I had some nail polish problems this morning.

I broke my China Glaze Recycle and my Essie Marshmallow!!! While cleaning up, I ruined my manicure consisting of...wait for it...RBL Bikini Bottom! Sigh.

Hence the China Glaze Strawberry Fields pictures today. I just purchased this from a blog sale and I'm kicking myself for not buying this until now. (This almost broke too…I would have been devastated).

I don't have anything bad to say about this polish. The application was perfect. I used two coats. There is no top coat shown with these pictures.

Mr. Owl!!!

Zoya Wednesday and Leopard

Wednesday, August 1, 2012
Happy August! I can't believe it is already here! I start my last year of college in 2 1/2 weeks. I can't wait to be done. ;D

As I mentioned on Facebook, I am on a leopard frenzy lately! Soooo, here ya go!

Thanks to Galactic Lacquer's post of Zoya Wednesday, I grabbed mine and gave it a try once again. For some reason, the formula on mine is extremely frustrating, which is a shame because it really is gorgeous. I added some thinner and was able to get even coverage after two coats.

I used Sinful Colors Leap Flog for the stripes and spots. I have seen the simple stripe everywhere lately, so I won't attribute it to one person. Most recently Nail Polish Art Addiction has done it. Robin Moses has done some like it too.

Look! More pictures of my right hand! Right now, my nails are longer on my dominant hand.
