Nail of the Day: Literary Lacquers

Monday, November 26, 2012
Hey everyone! My week-long break has ended and it's back to school for three more weeks. Bleh.
However, I tried out my very first Literary Lacquers polish called What Fools These Mortals Be! I'm wearing it over Zoya Robyn. It's a pretty combo!

Here is a quick and low quality picture (I'm at work).

I love all of the different glitters!

Girly Bits and Zoya

Tuesday, November 20, 2012
Hello everyone! Life is hectic, so please bare with me as posts are spaced out. I promise things will slow down in December and get back to normal.

Today I have some quick pics of a polish that always cheers me up when I put it on! Girly Bits' Smurf Dance is a fabulous glitter. Yuuummmmy!

I chose to wear it over Zoya Loredana.

 Annnnd a close up!

What do you think of this combo? I love it!

Blue for Diabetes Awareness Day

Wednesday, November 14, 2012
Hello all! Today I am wearing blue in regards to Diabetes Awareness. Many people think that diabetes only affects people who are overweight and have poor health, but in reality it can affect anyone. Please take the time to make sure you know your family's medical history so that things like diabetes can't negatively impact your life.

I have one of four Anise glitter polishes to show you today. I will post the other ones in the following days.

After hours is a blue and silver glitter that has excellent coverage! I did not need undies for this color, it dried super fast and was opaque in two coats.

No topcoat.

Anise Nail Fashion's Facebook page is here. They have a Pinterest here. You can find their polish at Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) for $6.00! They are 6 free (including cruelty free!!!) :D

What's in my Bag?

Tuesday, November 13, 2012
Hello everyone! Today I have something very different (and a bit more 'personal') to share with you! Some of the Beauty Bloggers I know, including XO Noelle, Beyond Beauty Lounge, and Jilltastic Nail Design have encouraged us all to do a "What's in your Bag/Purse?" video. If you click on those blogs, it will link you to their videos!
I crawled out of my shy shell and produced a (low quality) video of what I keep in my purse! Beware, my face is in it! o_O

Here is a written list, in case you couldn't (or didn't) watch it!

Lanyard with keys and TWO flashlights! :D
Mini emery board
Delivery Confirmation slips
Owl Wallet
Bath & Body Works Owl Anti Bac Holder with Anti Bac in Warm Vanilla Sugar
EOS Lip Balm in Vanilla (Alice in Wonderland LE)
Lotion from Bath & Body Works in Secret Wonderland
Mott's Fruit Snacks

I tag YOU! Do it!

Bam Nail Lacquer

Monday, November 5, 2012
I know it has been some time since I've posted, but I haven't been feeling well.

Today I have a lovely post about some polishes made by a woman who actually lives in the same town as me! I was floored to find out that she has a shop in such a tiny town full of college students. :D

I contacted her and we met at a coffee shop last Saturday.

The owner, Alicia, is the maker of BAM Nail Lacquer and I have found one of my new favorite polishes from her store.

She has a holo polish that I have been using as a "topper" of sorts on ALL my polishes. Heehee.

On to the pictures.

Spellbound is from her Halloween collection and Twilight Rendezvous is from her summer collection, but I would wear these whenever. I especially LOVE Spellbound because it is black with a little extra something.

Spellbound is a black jelly with purple and gold flakes. YUM! Here is a macro to get a clear idea.
Two coats because the formula is a bit sheer and a tad thick. Not too bad to work with.

Next is Twilight Rendezvous. It is a very sheer purple with some scattered holo glitter in it! I have three coats on with no topcoat.

I wanted to see what TR looked like over another color so I used Zoya Wednesday as the base. Gorgeous! Do you see the purple shimmer it gives Wednesday?

Last, but certainly not least is my favorite: Mystic Cloud!
Here is a bottle shot for drool purposes.

From Left to right: 1 thin coat over TR+W combo, 2 coats over TR, 1 thin coat over TR and 1 thin coat over S.

Formula is perfect and I absolutely love changing all my polishes to holo. It looks especially good over Zoya Song.

 Indoor, Flash

Why yes, it loves being shot up close.

BAM Nail Lacquer can be found on Etsy only. Check out her store here. Full size bottles retail for $9.50 and $8.50 depending on type. Minis are $3.29.
